Ever held onto something for so long it ate at you from the inside?

Four weeks of root canal agony.
Trying to save a tooth… and a decade-long love that had already died but I kept on CPR. 

Some things can’t be fixed, they have to be ripped out before they rot you from the inside. I couldn’t have picked a better headspace for a Shining tribute if I tried.

Somewhere between the heavy painkillers, existential anxiety and sleepless nights, I started painting, caught between physical decay and emotional collapse. Every corridor screamed “get out”, but I stayed. Until I couldn’t anymore.

When it was over, I kept the tooth as a reminder of what happens when you hold on too long.

Redrum became my purge, my descent, my release, the voice that finally screamed for me.

Born from pain, guided by madness, and finished in silence.

Maybe someone out there will hear its same voices and understand.
