This piece is my love letter to the actor who cracked open my mold, the artist, the architect of the most unforgettable cinema clown to ever steal the screen. When I first watched the film, I didn’t recognize him. I sat there stunned, heart hammering, absolutely transfixed as this villain slithered into the spotlight and hijacked the film like he owned the frame, hijacking my senses like Patrick Verona once had... what an odd feeling, I thought.  

This wasn't just a performance. It was a possession. Every octave drop, every twisted smile, every knife-twisting word, they stayed with me ever since, even in my own mannerisms.

I painted this for the version of me that cried when IMDB-ing the actor after the film... and found out who was behind that haunting smile. For the young girl in me who found so much courage thanks to him, piece by piece, through this chaos-made-flesh character. For the young king… now immortal in color and canvas.

It’s not just paint. It’s a piece of my heart.
