You ever met someone unexpected who reminded you what being alive felt like?

Long story for this one, but man, it's my favorite piece.

On my 33rd birthday in Paris, I was chasing Hubert Robert’s Caprices to witness his dreamlike re-visions of ruins reinhabited by the living. I walked 7 km through the Louvre just to see his paintings, searching for proof that beauty can rise again from what once fell apart. Not disappointed! 

Then I let go of a decade-long love, and finally stopped trying to steer the universe my way.  And there I was -Florence, 2 AM, Arno river, and me shouting at the full moon exasperated after pulling tarot with a friend - "fine, show me how good it can get!"

A couple months later and 2 years to the date since Louvre, a Djinn appeared on my path, making me feel more alive than I'd felt in a decade, granting wishes left and right - wishes I didn't even know I had. Funny how his name actually meant "Moonlight". Eerie... 

He spoofed into my life on oriental rhythms during Virgo season after I'd finally surrendered to the path ahead of me without trying to control every step. 

Felt like a wink and a gift from the Universe from my 35th birthday saying "you asked for it, here it is. Your own Simonetta Vespucci"

So I put all those synchronicities on this canvas.
